Abu Dhabi: Abu Dhabi Police, in partnership with with Pure Health, the largest laboratory operator in the GCC, conducted Covid-19 screenings for more than 43000 members of the force since the launch of the screening program in the second week of April 2020 across the emirate.

Brigadier Khalifa Mohammed Al Khaili, Director of Financial Services at Abu Dhabi Police, said, “Under the screening project, three teams of healthcare professionals from Abu Dhabi Police and Pure Health are working simultaneously in the frontline on this special campaign to fortify the nation’s fight against the deadly pandemic. The process included registration, PCR Covid19 screening, lab testing and reporting across all areas in the emirate.”

Commenting on the campaign, Lieutenant Colonel Thurya Al Hashemi, Director of Medical Services at Abu Dhabi Police, said, “The assigned teams are working with high efficiency to enhance the efforts of the nation in dealing with the coronavirus pandemic. Our focus has been to provide continuous screening and protection to the health and wellness of the police force, inmates of reform and penal institutions, and detainees, in order to enhance the health and safety of the community in general.”

Dr. Gurdeep Dhatt, Chief Medical Officer at Pure Health, said, “We are proud to associate with the Abu Dhabi Police to conduct the massive Covid-19 screenings in the Police force and ramp up the testing in the country. We have been collaborating with healthcare providers and authorities in the UAE in similar screening initiatives across the nation since the beginning of the Covid-19 outbreak.”

Pure Health has been conducting COVID-19 tests through multiple screening centers, and have launched a mobile screening force and three processing locations across the UAE.
