Dubai: The next time you want to rent a vehicle you now have the option to choose a Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) as Hertz, the UAE’s leading car rental company, today announced it has inducted the first batch of Toyota Camry HEVs to its fleet.  

The Al-Futtaim company is also considering converting 30% of its fleet into HEV over the next 3 years, by adding the newest hybrid models from Toyota, Lexus, Volvo and Jeep. This landmark move will help both residents and tourists not only save fuel and money but also have a more positive impact on the environment.

Toyota Camry HEV runs for 26KM/L compared to its petrol engine variant at 14.6KM/L, reigstering a staggering 78% enhanced fuel efficiency and 53% less CO2 emissions. The class-leading model provides a comfortable and stable ride with superior handling characteristics and is fitted with the latest hybrid technology, switching between electric and engine power depending on driving conditions and demand.
