United Arab Emirates, Abu Dhabi: The sustainable and contemporary supermarket chain Grandiose Supermarkets grows its presence in Abu Dhabi, opening its doors in one of the world's most sustainable urban communities, Masdar City.
Grandiose is the perfect addition to Masdar city, synergizing with its values of a green, eco-friendly community. The store is one of the first supermarkets in the UAE that facilitates sustainable grocery shopping with a well-thought deliberate customer journey.
The chain covers all aspects starting from recycled trolleys and shopping bags, no plastic bags at the checkout, products with reduced packaging and the possibility for customers to bring their containers. Grandiose Supermarkets also minimize their carbon footprint by supporting local products and businesses.
The opening of the new branch in Masdar Plaza follows the success of the existing supermarket in Al Reem Island in the city.
The event was attended by Mr Ahmed Juma Al Shamsi the Advisor of Abudhabi Airports as well as senior representatives of other industries in the UAE.
Mr Ahmed Al Shamsi praised the chain’s keenness to support Emirati products in all of its branches and its commitment to providing a unique shopping experience at competitive prices. He also endorsed Grandiose's efforts in preserving the environment through its carefully designed plans and initiatives.
Speaking of the occasion, Olivier Latour, CEO of Grandiose Supermarkets said: "We are proud to open our second store in the capital, after the Al Reem Island, Horizon Tower Store which was highly appreciated by Al Reem community". He further added, "Grandiose team is working relentlessly to ensure the opening of two other outlets in Abu Dhabi by the end of this year. We promise a new generation of Grandiose stores in key locations where our customers will enjoy shopping in a bigger and more unique environment. For now, by the end of this month, we are getting ready to open a big supermarket in Dubai Jumeirah. The store will offer a new shopping experience into the neighborhood, including community services such as pharmacy, laundry and others.”
Masdar's Grandiose branch offers a variety of healthy food and wholesome fresh food services catering to the busy community's demands. In addition to product ranges that are carefully selected to surpass the community's needs and expectations.
The community can now enjoy Grandiose's services and products delivered to their doorstep by placing their orders from Grandiose via phone calls or WhatsApp chat on the store number directly.
Currently, Grandiose operates from 11 supermarkets in Dubai Marina Promenade and Marina Walk, Um Suqeim 1, Silicon Oasis, Barsha, Dubai Mall, Sports City, RAK Grove, Address Downtown and Reem Island (Abu Dhabi). Several stores are set to open in the country over the coming months in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
