Dubai: Canadian University Dubai (CUD) has become one of the elite 43 international education institutions to be awarded the prestigious certificate of accreditation from the International Advertising Association (IAA) – the only global association that represents all areas of the marketing and communications industry.

CUD joins an elite group of organizations recognized for the quality of their program content and teaching. The accreditation is specifically awarded to the Bachelor of Arts in Communication advertising specialization in the Faculty of Communication, Arts and Sciences at CUD. Future graduates of the program will receive the IAA Certificate in Marketing Communications, which will set them apart as industry-ready young professionals in the global commercial communications sector.

The accreditation came after rigorous assessment of the program, benchmarked against IAA Education Council processes, to ensure internationally recognized quality in curriculum and delivery methods. The IAA accreditation program has a twenty-year history of certifying courses that stand out as meeting the needs of students and future young professionals in the communication industry.

Speaking about the recognition, Professor David Santandreu Calonge, Chief Advancement Officer and Dean of Faculty of Communication, Arts and Sciences, CUD, said, “The IAA international accreditation for our advertising specialization is an amazing achievement and we are extremely honored to have joined the IAA. This accreditation evidences the world-class quality of our advertising program, of our students and the tremendous work done by our internationally-educated faculty members.”

In addition to the IAA Certificate of Completion, students of the Bachelor of Arts in Communication advertising specialization will benefit from a wide range of professional development opportunities, including the IAA’s exclusive educational resources; networking and interaction with global industry professionals; access to internship opportunities; and mentoring and career guidance through the IAA Young Professional support initiative.
