Abu Dhabi, UAE:  Abu Dhabi Fund for Development (ADFD) has approved a grant of AED 257 million or $70 million provided by the United Arab Emirates government in support of Albania’s urban redevelopment.

Majority Group Leader at the Parliament of Albania, Taulant Balla, expresses his gratitude to His Highness Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi & Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces for the grant to renovate more than 2000 residential housing in one of Albania’s leading economic centers, Durrës, after sustaining major damages from the earthquakes including the strongest quake that hit the region months before the pandemic.

Taulant Balla said, “We are very grateful to His Highness Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan for his continued support in Albania’s economic projects over the years,”

Since 2011, ADFD has financed projects involving road reconstruction projects that have led to the national economic revitalization plan and greatly improved the foreign investment in Albania.

“Albania and the United Arab Emirates have maintained a good and mutually beneficial relationship of economic integration over the years, and we look forward to a longer and stronger cooperation relationship,” he concluded.
