Ajman, UAE: As part of its efforts to adopt a culture of innovation and support the UAE’s position as one of the most innovative and future-ready countries globally, Ajman’s Department of Finance has organised an innovation competition and nine workshops in ‘UAE Innovates 2021’.

The department’s participation comes within the framework to continuously employ modernisation in government and financial work, as well as encourage staff to apply new and creative ways to serve the department’s customers.

During this national event, the department held a number of specialised virtual sessions, including, Innovative Management in Financial Crises, Artificial Intelligence in Investment, Innovation Path and Future Shaping, Automation of Operations using Robotic Programmes, Smart Dialogues, and Blockchain in Financial Work.

The competition, on the other hand, encouraged employees to adopt ground-breaking methods in financial work. During the competition, employees presented their various financial ideas and proposals that support the aspirations of the Ajman government in promoting innovation and digital transformation. His Excellency Marwan Ahmed Al Ali, Director General of Ajman’s Department of Finance, honoured the winners for their creative ideas.

His Excellency Al Ali said: “The department continues its efforts to instill a culture of innovation and create an environment that encourages creativity, which contributes to enhancing the skills and capabilities of national cadres in financial work. The state-of-the-art initiatives and workshops organised by the department reflect its keenness to support the UAE’s march towards advancing methods of digital transformation, in line with the National Innovation Strategy and the UAE Centennial 2071.”

“Innovation had become a necessary skill that promotes our knowledge-based economy and boosts the competitiveness of our local institutions. In line with this, we ensure that the department employs all advanced means possible to develop a leading financial system, in line with our innovative-led strategy through which we seek to improve the efficiency of government as well as our financial performance,” H.E. added.
