IDEX is the most important tri-service defence exhibition in the world, while NAVDEX is a leading strategic event that serves the regional naval security industry. Held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE President, the next edition of the dual event will run at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre from 21 to 25 February 2021.

Drawing the participation of major international defence and security companies as well as key decision-makers and defence experts, the two events provide a strategic platform for building effective synergies among prominent players in the air, sea and land defence sectors in the region and across the globe.

Jointly organised by ADNEC and the General Command of the UAE Armed Forces, UMEX and SimTEX 2020 will run from 23 to 25 February 2020 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.

UMEX is the only exhibition in the region dedicated to unmanned systems and technologies used in air, land and marine operations. Meanwhile, SimTEX focuses on demonstrating simulation and training technology and capabilities. The biennial dual event convenes international delegations and decision-makers from the defence and aerospace industry as well as senior officials from the government and private sectors to explore state-of-the-art technologies and leverage potential business opportunities.

These events have consolidated their status among the world’s largest international defence shows through highlighting the latest innovations in the defence, security and artificial intelligence domains as well as enhancing the country’s indigenous defence capabilities. Through attracting strategic investments to the vital defence sector and related technology industries, the dual events have over the years established Abu Dhabi as a premier destination for specialised international exhibitions.
