LONDON- Britain's Debt Management Office said on Monday it might sell the country's first so-called green gilts in the June-September period of this year.

Finance minister Rishi Sunak has committed to the launch of green gilts for institutional investors this year to raise funds for projects such as renewable energy and clean transportation.

The DMO also said it planned to hold one syndicated conventional gilt sale between June and September and would consult with investors about selling a new conventional gilt in the 15-22 year area, or another maturity, in late June or July.
