LONDON- Britain said it would issue nearly 300 billion pounds of government bonds during the coming financial year, above all forecasts in a Reuters poll of bond dealers, pushing yields sharply higher on the day.

The United Kingdom Debt Management Office said it planned to sell 295.9 billion pounds ($413.2 billion) of government bonds, down from the current financial year but well above the median 247.2 billion pounds which the market had expected.

At least 15 billion pounds of the issuance will be across two new 'green' bonds, the first of which will be launched in the summer, the DMO said. ($1 = 0.7162 pounds)
