Standard Chartered appoints head of Islamic banking in UAE

The bank said Ali Allawala will be responsible for development of its "Saadiq" proposition

  

A new UAE head of Islamic banking has been appointed by Standard Chartered to take responsibility for the bank’s “Saadiq” proposition.

The bank announced today that Ali Allawala will be take on the role, following 25 years of experience in both conventional and Islamic banking in Pakistan, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Malaysia.

Allawalla previously served as CEO of Saadiq Malaysia.
