Riyadh: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) started Monday’s trading session, the first session of October, with positive performance after its main Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) levelled up 33.85 points, or 0.42%, to 8,033.4 points.

By 10:30 am Saudi time, TASI’s trading volume reached 18.3 million shares exchanged through 13,600 transactions, generating a turnover of SAR 444.73 million.

The healthcare sector rose 1.27%, followed by the banking, telecommunication services, materials sectors with 0.69%, 0.64%, and 0.18%, respectively.

On the other hand, the commercial and professional services sector shed 0.5%, while the food and beverages sector inched down 0.46%.

United Cooperative Assurance Co’s stock led risers with 6.65%, whereas Southern Province Cement Company’s (SPCC) stock fell 2.76%.

Meanwhile, NOMUI, the benchmark index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, increased by 6.09 points, or 0.24%, to 2,580.73 points.

Baazeem Trading Co’s stock went up 2.04%.
