The MSM30 index closed at 4,081.17 points, down 0.00 per cent. The Sharia Index closed down 0.04 per cent at 549.00 points. Al Batinah Power, up 3.45 per cent, was the top gainer while Sharqiyah Desalination, down 9.95 per cent was the top loser. Al Madina Takaful was the most active in terms of number of shares traded while Bank Muscat was the most active in terms of turnover.

A total number of 365 trades were executed during the day's trading session, generating a turnover of OMR1.2 million with more than 6.0 million shares changing hands. Out of 33 traded stocks, 11 advanced, 7 declined and 15 remained unchanged. At the session close, foreign investors were net sellers for OMR459,000 while Local investors were net buyers for OMR399,000 followed by GCC and Arab investors for OMR60,000 worth of shares.

Financial Index closed at 6,429.24 points, down 0.19 per cent. Gulf Investment, National Life & General and Al Anwar Holding were up by 3.33 per cent, 2.6 per cent and 2.56 per cent respectively. Al Madina Takaful, Bank Dhofar and Oman Qatar Insurance were down by 8.0 per cent, 2.59 per cent and 1.16 per cent respectively.

Industrial Index closed at 4,351.90 points, down 0.33 per cent. Al Anwar Ceramic was up by 1.28 per cent. Raysut Cement and Oman Cable were down by 8.0 per cent and 2.06 per cent respectively.

Services index also closed up by 0.53 per cent at 1,903.96 points. Al Batinah Power, Al Suwadi Power, Omantel, OIFC and Al Jazeera Service were up by 3.45 per cent, 3.33 per cent, 1.8 per cent, 1.79 per cent and 1.73 per cent. Sharqiyah Desalination and Ooredoo were down by 9.95 per cent and 0.77 per cent respectively.
