Mubasher: Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC) is gearing up to implement a slew of projects with a combined value of KWD 345 million over the next period, informed sources in the oil sector told Al Ra'i newspaper.

KNPC will begin the expansion of Mina Al Ahmadi refinery before the end of May to get the project delivered by the contractor ahead of September, the sources added.

The KWD 65 million Mina Al Ahmadi project aims to step up the storage capacity of diesel, kerosene, and other fuel sources in an effort to meet the mounting demands.

The state-run oil firm seeks to start operation at the KWD 130 million acid gas project before the end of August.

On a related note, sources forecast KNPC to complete upgrading the facilities of exporting sulfur from Ahmadi Port before the end of this year.
