Kuwait - The Central Bank of Kuwait (CBK) has issued bonds and related tawarruq worth KWD 200 million ($660.69 million), with a 3% yield.

The issue, which was oversubscribed by 13.61 times at KWD 2.72 billion, has a three-month maturity period that ends on 14 September, according to the CBK’s statement on Tuesday.

The CBK’s latest bonds issue was on 18 June, at a total value of KWD 290 million.

It is noteworthy that bonds and related tawarruq offered by the CBK aim at regulating liquidity to withdraw surplus in the local market.
