ArabFinance: Preparatory and high school pupils will attend school at least two days a week, education minister Tarek Shawki said at a televised press conference on September 8th.

Students from kindergarten to third grade will be allowed to attend face-to-face classes for three and four days a week at single- and double-shift schools, respectively, he added.

He further noted that those from the fourth to the sixth grade can attend school from two to three days a week.

The new academic year 2020/2021 will start on October 17th at all Egyptian schools, while international schools allowed to start earlier on September 15th.

Students from the third primary grade to high school will have access to the needed educational resources included TV channels and online platforms established by the ministry, he added.

In April, the ministry has rolled out its online teaching platform Edmodo.
