The Bahrain health ministry has reported 429 new cases of the Covid-19 coronavirus, along with 634 recoveries.

Of the new cases, 140 were among expatriate workers, 283 were contacts of active cases, and six were travel related. One new death was reported. The death toll stands at 255.
As many as 8,767 Covid-19 tests were carried out on October 2, the ministry said, taking the total number of recoveries to 66,184.

There are currently 58 Covid-19 cases in a critical condition, and 119 cases receiving treatment. 5,306 cases are stable out of a total of 5,364 active cases.
