Starting Sunday, January 31, customers who wish to enter the Ras Al Khaimah Department of Economic Department will need to produce a negative Covid-19 test result, according to an advisory issued on Thursday.

According to the notice published on the department's social media account, the test needs to have a validity of no more than 72 hours from one of the approved authorities in the UAE.

Customers wishing to enter the authority's headquarters will be "prohibited" from entry if they are unable to do so.

The move is in light of a recent surge in daily Covid infections across the country.
