KUWAIT CITY - The Public Authority for Manpower along with the Ministry of Interior (Residency Affairs) and the Kuwait Municipality have launched a series of campaigns on random markets in the country targeting expats who violate the labor law and residency law.

The informed sources stated that the joint teams carry out daily campaigns in Khaitan, Jleeb Al Shuyoukh, Farwaniya, Wafra, Kabad and Jahra areas.

The campaign so far has arrested more than 100 violators reports Al Qabas.

The Jleeb campaign has witnessed at least 30 expats who are on article 18 or 20 being arrested on a daily basis who work in places apart from where their sponsors are and are violators of residence law.

In Kabad and Wafra areas 25 workers were arrested selling foodstuff, vegetables and fruits in the makeshift market.
