Dubai Municipality has announced it closed three businesses for violating precautionary measures on Wednesday.
The authority says the businesses closed two smoking areas and a food establishment, while two warnings were issued.
It revealed on social media that 102 violations had been discovered from 2,601 visits to institutions, with a 96 per cent commitment rate to precautionary measures from the businesses visited.
In a tweet, Dubai Municipality said it was keeping the public 'safe by monitoring the work of environmental and health institutions, food institutions and their markets, and assesses their compliance with public safety standards and necessary precautionary measures'.
