Combating coronavirus: Abu Dhabi restricts entry, exit of workers

The steps are being taken to protect the health and safety of workers and to reduce the likelihood of infection

Companies in Abu Dhabi are no longer permitted to send workers out of Abu Dhabi, and must limit their travel to within Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Al Dhafra, the Abu Dhabi Media Office said on Monday.

The decision, which was taken by the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development, also prevents the entry of workers from other emirates into Abu Dhabi.

The precautionary and preventive measures are being taken to protect the health and safety of workers and to reduce the likelihood of infection, the media office said.

- Companies are no longer permitted to send workers out of Abu Dhabi, and must limit their travel to within Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Al Dhafra. The Department's measures also prevent the entry of workers from other emirates into Abu Dhabi.
