Bahrain's Nationality, Passport and Residence Affairs (NPRA) has announced that applying or issuing self-sponsored residence permits can be done through its website www.evisa.gov.bh, said a report.

The service covers foreign retirees, investors and property owner in Bahrain. The validity of the permit varies from two, five and 10 years, news agency BNA reported.

The move was part of the Interior Minister's directives to expand e-services and the directorate's approach to gradually transfer services to the website to facilitate the applying process without the need for personal attendance.

The NPRA highlights that to know the required documents, the applicant can visit the website, call 17399764 or send email, the report said.
