Bahrain's Ministry of Health has announced extension Covid-19 related precautionary measures for an additional three months.

The move is in response to the decisions taken by the Government Executive Committee, chaired by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and is in line with recommendations from the National Medical Taskforce for Combating the Coronavirus (Covid-19), the ministry was quoted as saying by a Bahrain News Agency report.

Under the decision, the following have been extended for an additional 3 months upon expiration on February 28:

* Provisions of Resolution No. 38 of 2020, concerning health requirements and procedures at commercial and industrial premises;
* Decision No 39 of 2020, concerning social distancing measures practiced at commercial and industrial premises
* Resolution No. 64 of 2020, concerning the health screening of workers employed at commercial and industrial premises
* The suspension of service fees for foreigners attending health centres, under Resolution No 47 of 2020, and of fees for general medical consultations for non-Bahrainis under Resolution No. 2 of 2017.
