Recruitment procedures will go totally online from tomorrow following a successful trial period.

The new system will offer jobseekers the opportunity to access the system with ease, register their attendance and reserve an appointment for employment through the Labour and Social Development Ministry’s website www.mlsd.gov.bh.

It will also allow jobseekers to review job opportunities available at the electronic job fair and apply for jobs according to the vacancies available.

“Entitlement to unemployment benefits and compensation requires registration of electronic attendance and access to job opportunities available on the website,” said the ministry in a statement yesterday.

“That spares jobseekers from appearing physically at the ministry and its employment and training centres, as part of efforts to limit the spread of Covid-19.

“It also achieves higher levels of efficiency by harnessing electronic systems to serve citizens and achieve more justice and transparency in the nomination and employment systems applied in the ministry.”

The ministry urged jobseekers who face difficulty with electronic services to call the hotline 80008001 to obtain the necessary guidance for the recruitment process as well as review the employment and training centres affiliated with the ministry.
