Muscat: The Sultanate recorded a rise in non-oil revenue by 37.4 per cent in the first quarter of 2020 compared to the previous year.

A report published by the National Center for Statistics and Information (NCSI) on indicators of public finance for the first quarter of 2020, revealed that, "The Sultanate witnessed an increase by 37.4 percent in non-oil revenues in the first quarter of the year compared to 2019, due to the high income tax on companies by 252.8 per cent."

The report showed that other income also increased by 32 per cent.
