RABAT - Morocco’s consumer price index rose 0.9% year-on-year in August after a drop of 0.1% in July, the high commission for planning said on Tuesday.

On a month-on-month basis, the index rose 1.4% on the back of a 3.4% increase in food prices.

Core CPI, which excludes prices of volatile goods, was up 0.2 month-on-month and up 0.6% year-on-year.
