Mubasher: Kuwait's non-oil exports soared 164% in September 2019, compared to the same period in 2018, the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported on Saturday.

The total number for certificates of origin for Arab and foreign countries' exports surged to 1,413 certificates worth KWD 15.7 million last month, compared to 457 certificates worth KWD 5.9 million a year earlier.

“Certificates of origin for Kuwaiti exports to Arab countries, excluding the GCC states, reached 345 certificates worth KWD 6.3 million, compared to 79 certificates worth KWD 3.2 million for foreign countries,” KUNA revealed.

The number of certificates of origin for Kuwaiti exports to GCC countries registered 989, with a value of KWD 6 million.

“Iraq was the top Arab country in importing Kuwaiti exports, followed by Jordan, Egypt, and Palestine. Qatar came first in GCC states, followed by Saudi Arabia, UAE, Bahrain, and Oman. As for foreign countries, Italy topped the list, followed by Belgium, Turkey, and Spain,” KUNA said.
