AMMAN - Jordan will secure a promise of five more years of U.S. financial aid in a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to be signed in Amman on Wednesday during a visit by U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, a Jordanian official said.

The previous such MoU was for three years. The new, non-binding MoU secures a minimum $1.275 billion per year from 2018, said the official, who declined to be named because the details had yet to be officially announced.
