Dubai:  Emirates Islamic, one of the leading Islamic financial institutions in the UAE, today announced the opening of its new branch in Baniyas, Deira.

The branch was officially inaugurated in the presence of Hesham Abdulla Al Qassim, Chairman of Emirates Islamic and Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Emirates NBD; Shayne Nelson, Member of the Board of Emirates Islamic and Group CEO of Emirates NBD; Salah Amin, CEO of Emirates Islamic; and other senior bank management and officials.

Commenting on the inauguration, Hesham Abdulla Al Qassim, Chairman of Emirates Islamic and Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Emirates NBD, said: “We are pleased to announce the opening of our new branch in Dubai Creek, located in the traditional heart of Dubai and the hub of the city’s historical trading community. The inauguration of the new branch reinforces our pride in our roots and reflects our commitment to strengthening our network to serve customers across the nation.”

The inauguration of the new branch – which offers Retail, Priority, Business and Corporate Banking services – brings the total number of Emirates Islamic branches to 58 in the UAE and 29 in Dubai.

Salah Amin, CEO of Emirates Islamic, said: “With customer convenience at the heart of our offering, we have consistently invested in strengthening our branch and ATM networks in the UAE, while further developing our digital and mobile banking channels.

“The opening of the new Baniyas branch will better enable Emirates Islamic to cater to small and medium businesses, which power the country’s economy.
