UAE: Aldar Academies, Abu Dhabi’s leading provider of private education, has announced the appointment of Sahar Cooper as the school community’s new Chief Executive Officer.
Mrs Cooper took the helm at Aldar Academies in October 2018, and will lead the education provider’s next phase of evolution as it continues to deliver an outstanding, future-focused education that shapes the leaders of tomorrow. Mrs Cooper will do so by drawing on her over 25 years of global education management experience to empower, enable and support the principals, teachers and parents across the organisation’s seven private academies and one nursery. She will be responsible for reinforcing the organisation’s leadership position in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain’s growing education space, while also guiding Aldar Academies’ role as the operator and manager of ADNOC Schools and the newly opened Al Rayana School.
“As a home-grown education provider that contributes so much to Abu Dhabi’s Vision 2030 plan, I relish the opportunity to lead Aldar Academies forward,” commented Sahar Cooper, Aldar Academies CEO. “Our promise to our community is clear: to deliver the highest standards of education and inspire a love of learning among our students. Meeting this promise is my ultimate goal, and to achieve this, I look forward to championing Aldar Academies’ culture of close collaboration between our schools and our parents,” Added Mrs Cooper.
During her more than 25 years in the industry, Mrs Cooper has gained extensive management experience in leading the delivery of large, complex and multi-site projects in education, alongside an established track record of business performance improvement. She has spent almost two decades working in the education sector in the UAE, as the Associate Director of Operations at the American University of Sharjah and most recently as the Chief Schools Operations Officer at GEMS Education.
