Muscat: Dr Ahmed bin Mohsen Al Ghassani, CEO of the Public Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises Development (Riyada), said that Riyada will host, in cooperation with Uranus Trading Company and the Oman National Training Institute (ONTI), the International Makers Fair, which will begin on 8 October.

The three-day event will take place at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Center.

This came in a press conference held at the Holiday Inn Hotel, A’Seeb on Sunday during which Al Ghassani said that the exhibition is in line with the principle of Riyada support for small and medium enterprises (SMEs).

He pointed out that Riyada supported the idea of one of the SMEs (Uranus Business Foundation) and the Oman National Training Institute to host the exhibition, which will be implemented for the first time in the Sultanate

Omani talents

He added that Riyada aims to showcase Omani talents and projects, and to introduce visitors to the latest projects, innovations, technology and craftsmanship.

Sharifa bint Hamdoon Al Numaniya, CEO of Uranus Trading Company, said that the exhibition will be attended by 80 to 100 participants from different sectors, including the projects section and lectures and workshops section. She pointed out that the projects section will contain all the projects of the participants divided into various areas between engineering projects industrial, scientific, artistic, educational, and entertainment projects.
