NAJRAN — The Najran region could be a logistic hub and an attractive free trade zone for tourism and mining sectors, Minister of Commerce and Investment Dr. Majed Al-Qasabi announced.

Dr. Al-Qasabi praised the growth of the business sector in Najran by 16% over the past four years, during the 12th ministerial open conference entitled “Incentives of Trade and Investment in Najran.

The event was organized by the Council of Saudi Chambers in cooperation with Najran Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Thursday.

Dr. Al-Qasabi said that the economic indicators of the Kingdom confirm that the Saudi economy is going through a stage of growth, especially in a certain promising economic sectors such as mining, tourism and entertainment.

“The most important indicator is the positive growth of the number of institutions during the past three years, which has jumped by 60%.”

“The Kingdom is the largest economic power in the region, boasts the highest purchasing power, and has the highest percentage of youth in the countries that are in the G20,” Dr. Al-Qasabi said.
