CAIRO - Libya's oil production had dropped to 181,576 barrels per day by Thursday, the National Oil Corporation (NOC) said in a statement on Friday.

Oil output in Libya has fallen since Jan. 18 because of a blockade of ports and fields by groups loyal to eastern-based commander Khalifa Haftar, falling to current levels from about 1.2 million bpd before the stoppage.

The NOC statement said that the losses from the blockade amount to about $1.042 billion.
