BERLIN- The German government is in talks with the United States on Nord Stream 2, a spokesperson in Berlin said on Wednesday, adding that she was confident there would be more to say on the matter soon.

The two countries are expected to announce a deal resolving their long-standing dispute over Russia's $11 billion natural gas pipeline, sources familiar with the matter have told Reuters.
