Egypt is Russia’s largest trade partner in Africa and the Middle East

Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt has acquired 40% of total trade exchange between Russia and Africa, the Middle East News Agency (MENA) reported on Wednesday, citing the Egyptian ambassador to Russia, Ehab Nasr, as saying.

Egypt is Russia’s largest trade partner in Africa and the Middle East, Nasr added.

The Egyptian-Russian relations have developed significantly over the last years, especially after 2017 when the Russian President Vladimir Putin visited Cairo and signed an agreement for the establishment of the Dabaa nuclear power plant.
