Dubai - Mubasher: The assets of Dubai's banks jumped by about 5.3% to AED 1.53 trillion in the first half (H1) of 2020, when compared to the corresponding half of 2019, according to the latest statistics by the Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE).

By the end of June 2020, the assets of Dubai's lenders grew by 11% year-on-year (YoY), when compared to June 2019.

On a monthly basis, the total value of assets of the emirate's banks rose by 2.1% in June 2020, compared to the previous month.

The total value of the banks' credit reached AED 899.7 billion in H1-20, up 3.9% compared to the same half of 2019.

Meanwhile, deposits at Dubai banks increased by 2.7% in the first six months of 2020, when compared to the same months of 2019.

It is noteworthy to mention that by the end of April 2020, the total value of Dubai bank assets recorded around AED 1.489 trillion.
