Bahrain Car Parks Company rolls out payment portal for Terminal

Partnering with BenefitPay allows contactless payment without the use of cash or cards

  

MANAMA: Bahrain Car Parks Company has launched a mobile payment portal for the Terminal, its flagship mixed-use multi-storey building.

The portal is being operated in partnership with BenefitPay and Scheidt & Bachmann, a German leader in smart parking solutions.

Partnering with BenefitPay allows contactless payment without the use of cash or cards, completely electronically, securely, and immediately.

A key component of the company’s digital transformation strategy, mobile payment is the first step towards the digitisation of parking locations managed and operated by the company.

To enhance the portal, a mobile app will be launched soon that will enable customers to view and book available parking slots in advance, as well as services such as valet parking and car wash.

Bahrain Car Parks Company chairman Amin Alarrayed, said: “The launch of the mobile payment portal is the perfect example of our dedication to serve the community better while building long-term strategic partnerships. It is a milestone that we are very pleased to achieve and we look forward to rolling over the service to other parking locations in the near future.”

The company’s chief executive Tariq Aljowder said the portal was one of a series of initiatives for the year 2021 as part of a five-year digital transformation strategy.

“We will continue developing and upgrading our parking systems, and growing the number of parking spaces under our management, with the aim of becoming the leading and preferred mobility partner in Bahrain and the GCC,” he added.
