Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan says he plans to increase the country’s foreign trade to $1 trillion and plans to attract 90 million tourists per year to his country.

Launching his re-election campaign, he said he also plans to generate $100 billion in tourism sector, Qatar News Agency reported today. 

Erdogan said with an annual growth rate of 5.5%, the national income will be $1.5 trillion with a target of $2 trillion, creating six million jobs in five years and reducing unemployment to 7%.

Unemployment in Turkey currently stands at 10%, according to the Turkish Statistical Institute.
