The General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) hosted here today a political dialogue meeting of senior Foreign Affairs Ministries’ officials of the GCC countries and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

The Assistant Secretary General for Political Affairs and Negotiations of the GCC, Dr. Abdulaziz Hamad Al-Owaishek, indicated that a number of political and regional security issues were discussed during the meeting.

Al-Owaishek added that the meeting also addressed mechanisms for enhancing strategic dialogue and developing aspects of cooperation in light of the memorandum of understanding (MoU) and the joint action plan that has been approved for the period 2022-2026.

Moreover, they discussed a number of economic and trade issues of common interest.
