Bangladesh government on Wednesday hiked gas prices for industrial, power, and financial sectors.
The new prices, including a hike to 30 taka from 11.98 taka per unit for large scale industries, will come into effect from February, according to a government notification.
Gas price for fertilizer factories was unchanged at 16 taka per unit while price of compressed natural gas (CNG) and household gas was also not hiked. (Reporting by Sakshi Dayal, editing by Sudipto Ganguly)
