The ‍Indonesian government ​is still discussing plans ⁠to tax ⁠coal exports, but ‌is pledging not to ⁠kill the industry, its finance ⁠minister Purbaya Yudhi ​Sadewa said on Wednesday.

Purbaya didn't ‍say whether ​Indonesia was still planning to implement the tax starting from January 1, but said it ⁠could ‌be applied retroactively.
