UAE headquartered investment group Yas Holding LLC has completed the acquisition of a significant majority shareholding in Geltec Healthcare FZE. Located in Dubai’s Jebel Ali area, Geltec Healthcare FZE is part of a renowned pharma and nutraceutical group with a global presence. The acquisition was completed through Yas Holding’s dedicated healthcare investment group, Global One Healthcare Holding LLC.
The facility is geared to produce dietary supplements and pharmaceutical products in soft gelatine capsules and gelatine enrobed tablets, with a rated manufacturing capacity of 1.5 billion units per annum.
The company has a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, which is the largest soft gelatine capsule manufacturing and packaging facility in the region, with the scope to expand into various other dosage forms.
Yas Holding plans to invest in further plant expansion to include oral solid tablets, and potentially inhalers and/or injectable lines. The facility is approved by the UAE Ministry of Health and has also received GCC and EU GMP certifications, amongst other approvals.

Notably, Yas Holding had earlier acquired WellPharma Medical Solutions which is the UAE’s first and only IV solutions manufacturing plant to cater to the ever-growing demand for life- saving IV solutions in DEHP-free containers and bags.
