Subscribers can download and play an extensive range of fun and exciting games directly to their mobiles...within minutes!

Wataniya Telecom announced today the launch of its new Java mobile games service that offers all Wataniya customers the opportunity to choose from a collection of more than twenty of the hottest new games that can be downloaded straight to their mobile phones. The new games come in a range of categories, including action, adventure, board games and crosswords, developed by leading content providers from around the world. Wataniya has also developed and made available the “Kout Bo Sitta” mobile game--one of the most popular card games in the region--to cater specifically to the local Kuwaiti market.

Wataniya’s new Java games can be downloaded on a vast range of Java-compatible WAP or MMS-enabled handsets for a flat rate cost of 1KD per game. By simply choosing a game and sending the Games ID code by SMS to ‘1433’, any Wataniya customer with W@P+ or ‘Action’ services on their mobile will be able to download the game of their choice within minutes, start playing and add new fun to their mobiles.

The selection of Wataniya’s mobile games within each category include:

  • Kout Bo Sitta- the most exciting card game in the Gulf.
  • Action games-Troopers, Helicopter, Space Incident, Aliens, Sea Rescue, Alien Assault and Cat vs Dog.
  • Adventure-Jumping Girl, B-Man and Summer Job.
  • Sports- Race, Basket Mania, Snowboard Racing, Soccer and Juggler.
  • Board Games- Labyrinth, Peg Jump, Extreme Bingo and Royal.
  • Crosswords- Terminator, Word Wizard and Word Search.
Subscribers can find all the information they need on the new games, including game descriptions, Game ID codes and download instructions along with a list of the mobile models supporting each game on Wataniya’s ‘Funtec’ website at http://www.wataniya.com/funtec under the ‘Games’ section in the ‘B! Zone’.
