Al-Arbeed: "Warba is in the process of developing an Online Merchant Portal"
Kuwait, 29 March 2014: Warba Bank today announced the roll-out of its Point of Sale (POS) terminal and the Electronic Payment Gateway (EPG) services, enabling its merchant customers to collect payments from their respective clients at competitive rates and in line with the provisions of the Islamic Sharia.
Commenting of this event, Talal Al-Arbeed, Cards Department Manager - Warba's Retail Banking Group, said: "The POS terminal service has specially been designed to serve Warba's merchant customers holding appropriate commercial licenses. Indeed, the use of electronic banking products and services results in achieving greater profitability, saving administrative costs as well as organizing and developing sales."
"By using POS terminals, Warba's merchant customers will be able to develop their sales and collect payments from their clients holding any K-Net, Visa or Master Card, to be deposited directly into their bank accounts. Additionally, Warba is in the process of developing an online merchant portal as well as mobile applications for Apple and Android systems so as to enable customers to safely, confidentially and efficiently check the financial transactions made via the POS terminal," added Al-Arbeed.
