On show at GITEX, ViewSonic PJ760 and PJ588D LCD portable projectors are ultra-light and ultra-bright

Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 6 September 2007 - Giving further insight to what highlights lay in store for visitors to GITEX 2007, ViewSonic Corporation, a leading global provider of visual display products, today announced the regional launch of the PJ760 and PJ588D portable projectors.  These ultra-bright multimedia LCD projectors, which ViewSonic will showcase during the five-day exhibition, enable users to take presentations and other content to a new and brighter level in the office, on the road or at home.

The PJ760 is an all-in-one multimedia solution, with a brightness of 3,200 lumens and a native XGA 1024 x 768 resolution, powerful enough to project dynamic presentations at the office, yet portable - at only 3.6kgs it is light enough to carry home and watch the latest movie.

With a digital keystone correction of +/- 30 degrees, users are able to conveniently place the projector at an angle without skewing the image. The projector's progressive scan, 3:2 pull down and zoom lens features present clear, detailed images, presentations and movies at home or in the office.

Adding to the PJ760's versatility, the new ViewSonic projector features a short throw, which enables the projector to display a 60 inch image at just 1.8m, ideal for apartments or small meeting rooms.

ViewSonic's PJ588D is a projector featuring DLP technology, with a 3000 lumens brightness performance and a native XGA 1024x768 resolution. This solution is ideally suited to displaying complicated charts, graphs and detail images for all presentation needs, making it suitable for mid to large size auditoriums. The PJ588D is a light-weight machine weights at 2.54kg and is easy to carry on work.

The flexibility to support for 720p and 1080i HD signals, advanced video features and multiple inputs is designed to deliver the best possible image in virtually any settings. The 3.2 pull down feature for screen quality converts the signal back into its original format, bringing the smoothness of true theatre picture quality to DVD home entertainment.

The ViewSonic PJ760 and PJ588D projectors both feature a 30dB whisper mode, which not only improves the impact of the presentation or movie, but increases the lamp life to up to 4,000 hours.

With 10-bit digital gamma correction, the PJ760 and PJ588D have the ability to reproduce fine differences in light and shade, giving more dimensions to the displayed images than conventional technologies. 0-Touch™ auto adjustment enhances the presentation or image by adjusting the frequency and timing data depending on the input signal character.
