Dubai, UAE: 22 May, 2013: Versace celebrated its fine jewellery partnership with SAMRA International on 15th May hosted at the Burj Al Arab, Dubai.
Special guests including Ahmed Bin Sulayem, Executive Chairman, DMCC, Gian Giacomo Ferraris, CEO of Versace Group and Salim Abu Samra, President of Samra International announced the partnership and introduced the new Versace Fine Jewellery collection designed by Versace and manufactured by JLT-based SAMRA International.
The collection featured baroque rings encrusted with a variety of precious stones, while diamond-studded 3D twist bands and earrings were available in white and yellow gold. Cocktail rings were reintroduced with a fresh and glamorous twist, and the Versace Medusa enriched with diamonds and crocodile texture gold, together with the iconic Versace Greek key, featured heavily in the designs.

The launch marked the beginning of a new long-term partnership between Versace Group and SAMRA International, and Versace's commitment to the fine jewellery market. SAMRA already operates the first Versace fine jewellery boutique, opened in the Dubai Mall, Dubai in 2009. The partnership will see a roll-out of new Versace fine jewellery boutiques, with particular focus on the Middle East market. Dubai-based SAMRA International are world leaders in fine jewellery, with a reputation for craftsmanship and excellence. The new partnership marks the 20th anniversary of Versace's first entry into the fine jewellery market.
