Manama: Venture Capital Bank (VCBank) B.S.C, the Bahrain-based Shari’ah-compliant investment bank, announces the launch of its new online platform, ‘VCB Online’, a mobile application designed to provide clients with a convenient way to access their investment portfolios digitally.

The new online platform, currently offered in English and Arabic and compatible with both iOS and Android operating systems, will grant clients direct access to real-time updates and information on their investment portfolio, allowing them to view investment statements, updated financial reports, fair values, and much more.

The user-friendly platform was developed with the dynamic lifestyle of VC Bank’s customers in mind, in line with the bank’s continuous efforts to further develop and improve its services to meet and exceed client expectations, while maintaining international market standards of operation.

VCBank Chief Executive Officer and Head of Investment and Post Acquisition Mr. Robert C. Wages stated: "Financial services have recently witnessed a digital uprising, especially with the noticeable decrease in reliance on traditional banking methods. Launching ‘VCB Online’ comes as part of our continuous efforts to tailor our operations to the evolving needs of our clients in an ever-changing market. The nature of investment requirements is time sensitive, which is why we have decided to focus on digital portals and provide our clients with a quick and effective platform to deliver important information in real-time, using the latest technologies. This is simply the first phase, as we aim to introduce additional features in the future to enhance the application and exceed our clients’ expectations."

Mrs. Sahar Jaafar Khunji, Head of Investor Relations at VCBank, added: “Working closely with the team, we developed the platform’s technical aspects and embedded features to be directly aligned with all our clients’ needs. We laid more focus on features that add value to our clients, such as direct portfolio access, and designed the easy-to-use platform in a way that allows our clients to receive pertinent information in the easiest and most efficient way possible."

VCBank is a prominent Shari’ah-compliant alternative asset manager, with a primary focus on income-yielding real estate assets and selective private equity investments. The bank aims to introduce innovative investment opportunities that would stimulate the growth and development of regional economies by pioneering the provision of venture capital investment opportunities and dedicated support for the SME sector in the MENA region, within an Islamic investment banking framework.
