In recognition of the success of the company's strategic policy of expanding and providing services in the food and beverage sector, and keeping pace with the master roadmap of Qatar’s National Vision 2030, the United Village Food opened its "Village Markets" and "Wooden Bakery" on Salwa Road facing Nasser bin Khaled and Sons Holding.
The Grand Opening itself took place in the presence of Mr. Mohammed Hamad Al Dulaimi, Chairman of the Village Trading Group, the Ambassadors of the Lebanese Republic and the State of Palestine HE Mr. Hassan Qassem Najm, and HE Mr. Munir Abdullah Ghannam, Group CEO Mr. Esam Al Abed, Mr. Ehab Abou Karroum and Mr. Shadi Shehadeh, Village Markets Managing Partners, alongside a large crowd of economic, social, corporate executives and suppliers.
This first branch of the Village Markets will be a new revolution in the world of food shopping, where citizens and residents will be able to have a unique shopping experience at a supermarket that provides them with everything they need. Furthermore, the interior of the supermarket is styled with a modern interior decor making the customer’s experience more comfortable having an advanced display and lighting systems that maintain the quality of fresh products from meat, chicken and fish, to all kinds of fresh and exotic fruits and vegetables of high quality.
This Wooden Bakery’s branch will be the second largest and main branch after its first branch at the Landmark Mall. It is today, the leading brand in the Middle East in the Arab and French bakery industry, as it offers the most succulent kinds of baked goods from crispy French croissants to delicious cakes and pastries, not to mention, shoppers will also find refrigerated dairy products and cheese displays. As a matter of fact, the company has already opened a 5000 square meters factory to meet the needs of the Qatari market.
Mr. Mohammed Al Dulaimi, Chairman of the Village Trading Group, said: "The opening of the village markets and Wooden Bakery is part of the plan to expand in Qatar, a country that has given us tremendous opportunities for investment and development. Towards the end of this inaugural event, the attendees cut the cake in celebration of the joining of the Village Markets and Wooden Bakery to the United Village Food alongside other food brands such as the Bun Al Ameed, Coffee Center and Qamaruddin Restaurant.
