Dubai, November 2011: The Globus family of brands, the world's largest escorted coach tour company appoints Gulf Rep as their new marketing representatives in the GCC countries. Gulf Reps will be responsible for streamlining marketing and PR strategies for the company, thereby giving a boost to the sales efforts of the General Sales Agents (GSAs) in the region.

The Globus family of brands includes Cosmos (budget tours), Globus (premium tours), Avalon Waterways (niche river cruising) and Monograms (independent travel). Together the four brands offer over 400 vacations to 70 countries.

The company already has established GSA relationships in the UAE, the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Sultanate of Oman, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and in Qatar. The objective of the tie up is to give a dedicated focus to the company's sales and marketing efforts, further consolidating its local presence in the Middle East.

The new relationship will not replace the existing GSA partnerships; rather the aim is to increase local support for the GSA partners. "With more products and vacation choices available in the market, there is a need today for dedicated sales and marketing efforts both on the consumer and the trade side to boost sales for any player that consider themselves serious." Says Leo Fewtrell, Managing Partner at Gulfreps.Apart from several trade activities, that include trainings, loyalty programs etc. the brands will also be strengthening their presence through increased investments in online and consumer media.
