Labour Fund “Tamkeen”: Based on the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, the Labour Fund “Tamkeen” announced the relaunch its Individual development programs with an updated comprehensive platform aimed at Bahraini job seekers, employees, students and business owners.
The relaunch comes in line with the objectives of enhancing opportunities to support the private sector and is scheduled to reopen for applications starting from 25th February 2021 on Tamkeen’s online portal.
The launch of the Individual Development Platform comes in its new version to emphasize the importance of meeting the current and future needs of labor market, especially with the latest market changes after the Coronavirus pandemic and the continuous change of the work environment with growing need of technological applications.
The Chief Executive of the Labour Fund "Tamkeen", Dr. Ebrahim Mohammad Janahi said that the Individual training platform, in addition to the usual Tamkeen programs in professional certifications and other skills training courses, will also include youth training programs, internships and training on licenses and regulatory requirements. In addition to supporting professional training initiatives with partner employers to providing on the job training with the aim of enhancing the youth capabilities and equip them with the professional skills required for employment in various economic and developmental sectors.
Dr Janahi also emphasized the importance of professional skills to the labor market, which is an essential requirement along with the academic qualifications and Tamkeen’s role in meeting the market needs through initiatives that support various training programs for individuals in different stages of their career path.
Dr. Janahi further pointed out that Tamkeen studied the current market requirements in light of the current changes in order to maximize the sustainable impact of the training support provided and stress the quality of programs that can provide high-quality skills to trainees. To achieve this goal, Tamkeen individual development support will consider meeting the standards of quality in line with the National Qualifications Framework, as well as focus on the new skills required in the different sectors.
