Abu Dhabi - Tadweer (The Center of Waste Management – Abu Dhabi) has concluded its participation in the GITEX Technology Week 2017, where it showcased its latest services and smart applications within Abu Dhabi’s Digital Government pavilion, which was held at the Dubai World Trade Center from the 8th to 12th of October 2017.

Tadweer participated as part of Abu Dhabi’s Digital Government, which promotes creativity and innovation. The exhibition shed light on the series of achievements and consecutive successes of Abu Dhabi’s Digital Government over the years; which served the various needs of Abu Dhabi’s community through effective and sustainable digital transformation, re-enforcing the concept of knowledge-based economy with the contribution of governmental strategic partners and the fulfillment of the UAE leadership’s aspirations.

Additionally, Abu Dhabi’s Digital Government – with the contribution of several authorities – was keen to strengthen the UAE’s capital position as a global business and investment hub and a regional pillar for digital transformation, promote effective participation in regional and global events in the ICT sector, as well as establish an effective and innovative system that helps build a sustainable digital base; reflecting the comprehensive development process taking place in the Emirate on various levels and the importance of the digital government in fulfilling the strategic objectives of the Abu Dhabi Plan.

On this occasion, H.E Saeed Al Muhairbi, Acting General Manager of Tadweer (The Center of Waste Management – Abu Dhabi), commented: “Our participation in the GITEX Technology Week 2017 was in accordance with the Abu Dhabi Government’s approach towards digital transformation, smart applications and enhancing digital economy, as well as an active contribution to the marketing of Tadweer’s digital projects and services that are in line with Tadweer’s strategic direction to create new sustainable channels in delivering services and enhancing the quality and accessibility of these services through quick, reliable and user-friendly digital solutions notably increase user and customer happiness.”

H.E Saeed Al Muhairbi added: “During our participation in the GITEX Technology Week 2017, Tadweer launched the "e-waste market" and "food recycling" projects as part of our efforts to achieve our mission of building and implementing comprehensive management systems and programs in waste management and public health pest control in accordance with the highest international standards.”

Through its participation, Tadweer introduced itself to visitors as a government entity that offers 100% digital services to the business sector, to contribute to resource sustainability and service longevity through smart solutions and also to market the smart application in an effort to diversify communication channels with the public and business sector; enriching their experience, ensuring service access to the largest number of customers and boosting government integration though the design of smart platforms, digital solutions and websites; thanks to the level of digital maturity reached by the Abu Dhabi Government.

It is worth mentioning that GITEX Technology Week 2017 attracted technology pioneers, information technology leaders and innovators from all around the world who demonstrate how daily life and the way of doing business are transformed by the digital evolution.
